Rossville Quilts prides itself on quick shipping and great customer service. We generally ship within 24 business hours of receiving payment for in stock orders, and we often ship same day if received early in the day. We normally ship USPS flat or regional rate. Update 4/24/21: Our turnaround time has recently been slower than our normal 24 business hours due to family medical issues. Our staff is working very hard to help us keep orders sending in a timely fashion; however, you may experience longer processing times. We appreciate your understanding and patience while we balance family and work.
IF IT FITS IT SHIPS!
A legal flat rate envelope - domestic or international - can fit up to 10 yards of regular cotton fabric for $7.75 domestic. (International pricing on flate rate enevelopes now varies based on your location. Our system will calculate the shipping price for you based on your country. Feel free to email us if you'd like verification of your shipping prior to placing an order.) NOTE: We cannot always fit a full 10 yards, depending on density of fabric and length of cut.
NOTE THAT THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALWAYS ESTIMATE YOUR SHIPPING CORRECTLY! Never fear...though, we'll catch it!
For example, a system based on price of your order cannot take into account a great sale. You might have only $50 worth of fabric, but if it is all a low sale price, you might have 12 or more yards. The system will not realize you have so much and underestimate your shipping total. The same thing happens on items such as flannel, softie or extra wide backing, which take more room than regular fabric. On the other hand, we can often ship LESS expensively (especially to nearby states) when we use regional rate boxes.
We will ALWAYS recalculate your shipping and use the most advantageous method for you. Please contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to verify your shipping amount before we ship. We're happy to do so!
Our Order Verification Guarantee - If we do not have everything exactly as requested on your order, we won't send it without first contacting you via phone or email for approval. That means you are in control over what you have shipped to you.
THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT
We have a minimum shipping charge of $4.95 for domestic orders. The minimum shipping charge helps us cover the costs of sending very small orders with little built in profit margin. Again, this allows us to keep costs down and enables us to offer our goods at below market prices in most cases.
We have FREE SHIPPING on domestic orders of $75.00 and over! Your adjusted order after any shortages and before tax must total $75.00 or more. Your total may only include shippable items. No BOM sign ups, class fees, event fees etc qualify toward your total. If part of your order is preorder items and part of it is in stock, we will ship free one time. In other words, we will hold your in stock items until the preorders arrive and ship it all together. Or if you prefer, we will ship what is in stock now and charge you for the shipping, but send your preorder at no charge when it comes in. It's up to you!
For priority shipping, insurance is provided by the post office for domestic orders up to $50.00 ONLY! If you require insurance above that amount, you must request it at the time of your order.
At this time, there is NO insurance available on international flat rate envelopes or first class mail envelopes. Only international flat rate boxes are insurable through USPS!! (There are a few countries that the USPS will not allow insured packages to be sent to at all. Any question, let us know.)
PACKAGE HASN'T ARRIVED?
Let us know! We are happy to provide you with whatever documentation we can gather regarding mailing your package. We can send you tracking info for domestic priority parcels upon request. While most priority items arrive within a few days, sometimes they are held up for whatever reason in the postal system. We've also had "lost" packages found at the neighbor's, the realtor's car, in a sewing room where they were tossed for later gratification, or in the husband's trunk (poor him!). All items we send are wrapped in plastic, and there is a receipt with your address and ours on it inside. If a package is damaged, it still should eventually make its way to one of us. So... give it time, and look thoroughly before panic arises!
Unfortunately, there are a very few occasions when a package is completely lost. Once we have taken it to the post office, it is - literally - out of our hands. We have been shipping for nearly ten years now and send thousands of items each year. I think we have had this happen about three times! The US post office is very reliable, however it can happen that something is lost. In these cases, we will offer you a discounted price on the same (if available) or similar fabric if you choose to replicate the lost package.
