We're having one more (at least for now) blast of summer heat in Rossville this week! Don't forget to take advantage of our HOT sale on all 2 1/2" strip packages during the month of September. We still have a good selection to choose from! They are 10% off in store and online with coupon code SEWAJR. On to the news...
Are You Ready To...CUT SEW CREATE
Stacy Iest Hsu and Moda have created the Cut, Sew, Create program to inspire the next generation of makers, to create self confidence, to create memories and to grow creatively! There are 15 projects in all to teach sewing to any age and any skill level. The fabric pieces for the projects are all pre-printed on a panel which includes instructions (does not include notions that may be required). Zippered pouches, pillows, pet beds, an apron, and more are just a few of the projects. Visit the RQ website to see pictures of each panel and how the finished project will look! Who will you gift with the joy of learning to sew?!?!?
What's New at RQ
County Clare by Karen Styles for Marcus Fabrics has arrived at RQ. Inspiration for this collection came from the appliqued quilts of Irish and English women in the 17th and 18th Centuries. The digitally printed panel includes motifs that can be fussy-cut and appliqued to a background fabric to creat a customized look. A variety of coordinates are available to use with the panel. Be sure to take a look at the County Clare Kit (featured above) that uses the panel squares with pieced blocks.
Garden Delights III by Gray Sky Studio for In the Beginning Fabrics is now available at RQ. This collection is full of small scale floral prints in a rainbow of colors! The collection has great support from the coordinating Garden of Riches book. The Garden Treasures quilt (seen above) is one example of available kits. Additionally, we have 10" square packs and 2 1/2" strip rolls from Garden Delights III.
We've brought out all the bolts of our first Ruby Star Society collections: Pop! and Zip! by Rashida Coleman Hale. Pop! celebrates those items that "pop" such as popping on an album or having an ice cold pop on a hot day. Additionally, Zip! is a collection of stripes with a bit of texture. Get a little bit of all Pop! and Zip! skus with a charm pack, junior jelly roll, or junior layer cake!

Did You Know?
The first Moda Jelly Rolly was produced in 2006 (one year before RQ opened)! The first four collections featured were: Sunshine by Sandy Gervais, Bound to the Prairie 2 by Kansas Troubles, Spring Fling by Me & My Sister, and Sanctuary by 3 Sisters. The first jelly roll I used in a project was Vintage Holiday by April Cornell in the Log Cabin Star Wall Hanging. Do you remember your first jelly roll?
