News to Use from RQ March 14th
Posted by KJCB on March 14, 2019
Thank you, thank you to all who attended our Amanda Murphy workshops this past weekend! We enjoyed Amanda's hands-on approach to teaching free-motion and rulerwork quilting techniques as well as her trunk show of current and future fabric collections. We plan to continue carrying many of Amanda's products and fabrics at RQ. As you finish a quilting project using techniques learned in Amanda's classes, bring it in for show and tell...we'd love to see! On to the news...

What's New at RQ
Vive La France by French General for Moda Fabrics has arrived at RQ! French General fans will find their favorites reds, blues, and creams in this new collection. In addition to the cotton prints, we have two woven pieces that are used in the Liberty Kit (featured above). We are waiting on one of those woven pieces to arrive and then will be ready to ship kits next week! Jelly rolls, layer cakes, and charm packs are in stock now.
Last month we finished the Cadence Court BOM (featured above) and now have the remaining yardage for sale! Foundation by Shayla Wolf of Sassafras Lane Designs for Windham Fabric has a "rainbow" of colors and great low volume pieces. The prints feature hand-drawn designs as a nod to Shayla's architectural background. In addition to yardage and fat quarters, we do have a limited number of Cadence Court Full Kits available for purchase. This wedge quilt is paper pieced and fun to watch come together!
Fine Tuning by Dan Morris for Quilting Treasures is now available at RQ. Grab your guitar and head on over to "pick" up a musical instrument panel or border stripe. We have all the coordinates for the Fine Tuning Kit (featured above) which is available in pink or teal colorways. Musically themed collections tend to sell out fast, so don't delay!

Did You Know?
March 14th is National Pi Day. According to sparkpeople.com, National Pi Day was created in 1989 by physicist, Larry Shaw to celebrate the never ending number. This date is also the birthday of Albert Einstein which some say is the reason for this "mathematical holiday" even though Pi was around long before Einstein. Others, such as myself, enjoy celebrating Pi(e) Day with a slice of their favorite dessert :)
