Welcome to 2020 and a toast to all the sewing/quilting projects yet to be created! We hope that everyone enjoyed the holiday season with friends and family because we at RQ sure did. We're ready to hit the ground running and are here to help you with your sewing-themed New Year's Resolutions. Whether you want to bust your stash, learn something new, or just get organized in 2020 we have ideas for you!
Congrats to the final Customer of the Month winners of 2019: Roseanne G., Helen M., Nancy Si., and Shirley Si.! We should see all of you this weekend at BOM so be ready to spend your $25 shopping spree :)

January Block of the Month Meeting
This Saturday, January 4th will be the first BOM meeting for 2020 with doors opening at 9:00 a.m. We're starting THREE new programs this month including Hill Country Heritage (featured above). Also, beginning in January will be London Blues by Wing and a Prayer and Sweet Sampler featuring Memoirs fabric by 3 Sisters. Each of these programs still have space available so it is not too late to join a BOM for January!
Saint-Tropez BOM program participants will be receiving their final packets in January. The remaining Soleil Tonga Batik yardage is available for purchase online for backings or coordinating projects. We have one full kit and one BOM left for Saint-Tropez!
Don't forget to bring your favorite finished project from 2019 to share at this month's meeting to earn your Challenge BOM Buck.
BERNINA Mastery Classes in January
New BERNINA machine owners: we have listed mastery classes for January! Choose one of two Quick Start Mastery class options on January 14th or January 24th. If you've already taken the Quick Start Mastery class then sign-up for the Play with Your Feet Class (second in the series) on January 18th. Pre-registration is required to guarantee we have sufficient supplies and space for all participants.
We still have ONE Tula Pink B770 SE machine (featured above) in need of a good home! Take home this new machine and learn about all its amazing features with a mastery class in January.
What's New at RQ
Jan & Pep's Marvelous Adventure featuring Clover Meadow fabrics by Jan Patek for Moda Fabrics is a newly arrived kit at RQ. This gorgeous applique quilt finishes at approximately 93" x 99" Our kits were packaged by Moda meaning we have a limited number available. Don't delay in grabbing up one of these quilt kits for yourself!
Our newest William Morris inspired collection has arrived from Moda Fabrics. May Morris Studio designs are from the V & A Archives and are exclusive to Moda! Thirty-four skus, including two beautiful wallpaper border stripes, are available in yardage and fat quarters. We also have jelly rolls, layer cakes, and charm packs.
Sumatra Tonga Batiks by Daniela Stout for Timeless Treasures are now in stock at RQ. These batiks feature an elegant color palette of blacks, golds, browns, and creams. (We're thinking Boiler Up!) Tonga Treat Strip Jrs and Shortcakes are available in this colorway. Kits using Sumatra will be available as soon as patterns arrive; however, you can preorder them here.
OESD School of Machine Embroidery Starts Next Week
The 2020 OESD School of Machine Embroidery begins this month with a class on Free Standing Lace. This program is open to all machine brands and skill levels (as long as your machine can read a USB stick and has a 5" x 7" hoop). Pick and choose which classes you would like to take or sign-up for the Graduate Program and commit to all 12 months. More details are available on the RQ Calendar page. We have limited space remaining and the first class is next week so don't delay! Pre-registration is required.

Make the challenge your own and list projects that still need pieced or quilt tops that need quilted or projects you still need to start!
