Posted by KJCB on February 22, 2018

Hello Everyone,
There's only one more week left in February (time flies when you're sewing)! We're finishing out the month with 10% off all flannel and novelty prints. There is also one spot remaining in the February 28th Spicy Spiral Table Runner Class. March will focus on the "scrappy" side of quilting at RQ so start gathering those leftover pieces and remnants from finished projects before March 1st! Check out some of the upcoming classes for March at the bottom of the newsletter or on the Calendar page of the RQ website. On to the news...
RQ Turns 10: February is "Flannel and Folderol" Month
This is the last week for "Flannel and Folderol" continuing our 10th Anniversary Celebration! This month all flannels (including Dapper wovens (above) and Corner of 5th and Fun brushed cottons) are 10% off both in store and online. Flannels make great rag quilts, pajama pants, or quilt backings for just a few crafty ideas with flannel. At RQ folderol refers to novelty print fabrics that will be 10% off this month. Online shoppers head to the Folderol Novelty Sale Category on the RQ homepage to see what is on sale. Brick and mortar store shoppers: we'll show you where in the store you can find the novelty prints on sale. (Sale pieces may vary.)
Don't forget that during our 10th Anniversary when shopping in store you can Buy 10 of one item and receive the 11th FREE! Buy 10 spools of thread receive, the 11th FREE. Buy 10 half yard cuts and receive the 11th half yard cut FREE.
We're looking ahead to March's Spring Scrap Cleaning Sale for our 10th Anniversary Celebration! We'll be featuring your favorite patterns that use scraps as well as "scrap" cuts such as our remnant basket and end-of-the-bolt 1 yard cuts on sale.
What's New at RQ
Lilac Ridge by Jan Patek for Moda Fabrics has hit it out of the park with her interpretation of lilacs in the spring. Purple, green, and brown are a classic color combination, but with a pop of dark red and soft pink look what you can create! A variety of projects featuring applique and piecing are available at RQ. Sampler Spree (featured above) finishes at approximately 67" x 89" while Linda's Lilacs and 101 Lilac Place are smaller projects. Not an appliquer? Grab a jelly roll, layer cake, charm pack, or mini charm and create your own project!
Kinder by Heather Ross for Windham Fabrics has arrived at RQ this week. These sweet prints have a "kindergarten" theme from the reading circle to an apple for the teacher. Choose from two alphabet prints on either an orange or pink background. These would make great pencil pouches or other gifts for teachers and students alike!
Soft and calming are the best words to describe this new collection by Nancy Rink Designs. Sea Glass fom Marcus Fabrics features florals, pebbles, words, triangles, and stripes to name a few prints. Nancy has described a beautiful quilt using these fabrics that will be available as soon as the pattern arrives. Reserve your Looking Glass Kit today.
