Posted by KJCB on February 20, 2020
Who's ready to think Spring? We have new fabric collections this week that make me excited to sew for spring! The flowers will soon be blooming on the shelves at RQ as you start to see the spring collections appearing in place of winter/holiday groups. We hope you'll stop in to see what's "growing!"
This week's TBT collection is a selection of Dear Stella prints from a few different collections. Florals, polka dots, patriotic, and a bit of novelty are all in this week's TBT Sale. Follow this link to the "Throwback Thursday" Sale page on the RQ website for all the details! On to the news...

What's New at RQ
Freedom Tonga Batiks by Timeless Treasures has arrived at RQ! This red, white, and blue batik collection is sure to be a favorite with stars, stripes, and fireworks amongst the prints. The Stars of Honor quilt kit (featured above) was designed by Heidi Pridemore and finishes at approximately 73" x 85" - perfect for a unique Quilt of Valor! In addition to yardage and fat quarters, we have Tonga Treat Strip Jrs. with 20 - 2 1/2" strips from the collection.
The newest collection from Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts is Super Bloom for Andover Fabrics. Shades of blue, pink and cream are featured in florals, stripes, and small prints. Yardage and fat quarters will be available this week as well as 10" square packs. We'll have more information on patterns using Super Bloom in the new few weeks.
The soft, romantic skus of Rue 1800 by 3 Sisters for Moda Fabrics have just arrived at RQ. With color names such as cobblestone, dove, porcelain, robin's egg, and rose, you'll be inspired to create your next project! Rue 1800 has amazing pattern support including the Genevieve Kit (featured above) by Coach House Designs and the Old Town Book from Designs by Lavender and Lime. Visit the RQ website to see all the available kits as well as coordinating Grunge Basics and Rue 1800 precuts.
RQ Machine Embroidery BOM Workshop
Have you ever been a member of any of our EBOM programs? Gotten overwhelmed in the middle? Couldn’t figure out how to put it together at the end? Had trouble choosing fabrics and thread and never even got started? (Trust me, we’ve been there too.)
LET RQ HELP!! In an effort to assist you in restarting these gorgeous projects we are hosting an EBOM workshop. On Sunday, March 15th, come with your machine, your supplies and your excited self and we will give you the impetus to get going again on your project. We will have the Pavilion Shelter House at Rossville Town Park open from 10 AM to 6 PM for a drop in and sew workshop day. Come for the whole time, or just a few hours. We ask for a $10 donation to help cover the cost of the room, but assistance is free for anyone who has an EBOM from RQ to work on!
