News to Use from RQ February 13th
Posted by KJCB on February 13, 2020
Another Wednesday night writing this week's newsletter while the snow comes down. We were still open last Thursday (despite the local school closing) and had six intrepid embroiderers come to class! Being on a state highway has its perks during the winter season :) Don't forget to follow our social media pages to see if we close due to the weather or give us a call before you drive out at 765.379.2900.
This week's TBT collection is Liberty Gatherings by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabrics. This group by Lisa Bongean is chock full of her popular small prints which will work in many traditional projects, not just those with a patriotic theme. Follow this link to the "Throwback Thursday" Sale page on the RQ website for all the details! On to the news...
Featured Future BOM
Our next Block of the Month project from Wing and a Prayer Designs is now available for sign-up! Nature's Lodge features 11 beautiful Tonga Batiks from Timeless Treasures to make this 96" x 106" quilt. We anticipate starting this program in June 2020. The BOM will run for 12 months. If you need your quilt to finish at King Size, we will have that option available once we have the particulars on the amounts needed. Sign up now for the 96" X 106" quilt and watch for more info on king sizing later. Those who prefer to purchase a full kit have that option available as well. Sign-up to reserve your space on the RQ Website!
What's New at RQ
Farm Charm by Gingiber for Moda Fabrics is now at RQ! The sheep, chickens, horses, and pigs are ready to help add some "charm" to your farm. The 2/3 yard animal panel features both large and small blocks for a variety of projects! We have a selection of prints on the bolt as well as jelly rolls, layer cakes, and charm packs. We're also kitting two projects including the Farm Charm Kit (featured above).
A new collection from Christa Watson and Contempo has arrived in store: Gridwork. This group features brightly colored geometrics with neutrals for balance! Whether you use all these pieces together or just grab a tonal for use with another project you are sure to find something in Christa's newest offering. Choose from colorways of amethyst, citron, or breeze or mix them all together. The Block Chain Kit (seen above) uses a 5" Square Pack and two coordinating fabrics. Additional kit options available on the RQ Website.
Lovers of Grunge - Glitter Grunge by BasicGrey has just arrived at RQ! Six of your favorite Grunge colors are sprinkled with silver glitter for a tiny bit of shine and sparkle. Colors include White Paper, Grey Couture, Black Dress, Cherry, Peacoat, and Winter Spruce. Stop in this weekend to see them in person!
RQ Machine Embroidery BOM Workshop
Have you ever been a member of any of our EBOM programs? Gotten overwhelmed in the middle? Couldn’t figure out how to put it together at the end? Had trouble choosing fabrics and thread and never even got started? (Trust me, we’ve been there too.)
LET RQ HELP!! In an effort to assist you in restarting these gorgeous projects we are hosting an EBOM workshop. On Sunday, March 15th, come with your machine, your supplies and your excited self and we will give you the impetus to get going again on your project. We will have the Pavilion Shelter House at Rossville Town Park open from 10 AM to 6 PM for a drop in and sew workshop day. Come for the whole time, or just a few hours. We ask for a $10 donation to help cover the cost of the room, but assistance is free for anyone who has an EBOM from RQ to work on!

Did You Know?
One important way for businesses to succeed these days is to stand out on the internet. Not only for online shoppers, but so that others can find your brick and mortar building. After 12 years in our small town, we still get people - probably on a weekly basis – who come in from Lafayette (closest large city) who never knew we were here!
Our Google analytics tell us that more than 900 people have visited our website in the last week. In the years that we have been shipping fabric, we have shipped to every continent except Antarctica. (But we haven’t given up yet on them!)
After all that traffic, we have only had 19 Google reviews left in 12 years! Reviews move your business up in search rankings, so that people looking for fabric stores find you. Would you consider leaving us a Google review? Go to www.Google.com and type in Rossville Quilts. On the right, you will see information about our store, with reviews listed. You can click on any of those and will be taken to our review page. Click on “Write a Review” and leave a note about your favorite things about us, or just a rating. It will be fun to see how many more reviews we can get just from our newsletter readers! Thanks!
