We'd like to thank our customers for their continued support and patience while we operate our small business during the COVID-19 shutdown! Many of you have emailed us pictures of your current projects, words of encouragement, and your thanks that we are still shipping supplies during the past few weeks and we just want to say..THANK YOU!
A couple reminders:
*Our storefront is still closed. We are not open for in-store shopping or any curbside pick-up at this time. When this changes, we will be sure to let you all know!
*If possible, please email us with questions. Use the email@example.com email address. If you need to call, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
This week's TBT collection is The Dress by Laura Heine for FreeSpirit. Sweet and whimiscal prints in spring colors as well as a coordinating panel are all part of this week's collection. Follow this link to the "Throwback Thursday" Sale page on the RQ website for all the details! On to the news....
Fabric Face Masks Update
We had an overwhelming response following last week's newsletter in regards to 1/4" wide elastic being in stock. We sold over 2500 yards of elastic within the first day! Many thanks to those customers who agreed to take less elastic than they originally ordered so that we could ship elastic to a larger number of mask makers!!! We have reordered and expect to receive more from our distributor within the next week or two. If you are still interested in elastic, please place an order through the RQ website so that you are in the queue. Orders are being filled in the order that they are received. Please limit your order to no more than 50 yards.
We are expecting another shipment of our extra wide 200 thread count muslin from Moda to arrive on Friday, April 24th which will allow us to fill the orders that are waiting. Remember that any order with one yard or more of Extra Wide Muslin (9954) of either color, will ship FREE during the month of April (shipping will be refunded during order processing).
If you're still looking for prints to use in making face masks, check out the Art Gallery fabric sale. Art Gallery shared on their Instagram page last week that their "premium cotton fabrics have the highest thread count in the industry" at 205 which makes them extra "silky" against your skin!

What's New at RQ
Nancy's Needle 1850 - 1880 by Betsy Chutchian for Moda Fabrics has arrived at RQ this week! This Civil War Era collection features deep blues, rich reds, and warm cheddars along with pinks, greens, and purples. We are kitting a variety of patterns using Nancy's Needle including Civil War Star (featured above) designed by Bits N Pieces. In addition to yardage and fat quarters, we have jelly rolls, layer cakes, charm packs of Nancy's Needle. The honey bun precut (1 1/2" x width of fabric strips) has also returned to RQ with this collection! Check out the Pins & Needles Kit that uses the honey bun to its full potential!
Our second fabric collection delivered this week is Catalina by Fig Tree Quilts for Moda Fabrics! The colors and prints in this group are perfect for spring in your favorite Fig Tree fashion. The quilt featured above is Americana Rose which uses BOTH Catalina cotton prints AND the Catalina wool to create the luscious throw. Joanna Figueroa has also curated an Aurifil Catalina Thread Kit for use with all your projects. If wool applique isn't your style, never fear, there are additional Catalina Kits available on the RQ website. Precuts including the honey bun are also in stock!

We still have a large variety of Art Gallery Fabric prints available for purchase at a fantastic reduced price! This is a great opportunity to re-supply that stash you've been sewing through or to purchase backings for all the quilt tops you're finishing. Remember we'll always contact you before shipping if we do not have exactly what you ordered (unless you tell us in the Notes Section of your order to send what we have)!
You can follow the links (in blue) or follow the steps in the photo below (when shopping from a PC) to find all the Art Galllery prints in one place.
All scheduled classes have been cancelled or postponed through April. We will contact students who have paid for upcoming classes once we are able to begin rescheduling. Thank you for your understanding!
Did You Know?
In support of National Overlocker Month, the WeAllSew Blog has kicked off a series of posts introducing all that you can do with and how to use your overlocker. For example, some may be asking "what is the difference between an overlocker and a serger?" As explained in the first WeAllSew Blog post, they are essentially the same machine - it just depends where you live! Overlocker is more often used in Europe while serger is more common in the U.S. Check out the first two posts for more details: Introduction to Sergers and The Essential Overlock Stitch.
