News to Use from RQ October 5th
Posted by KJCB on October 05, 2017

Hello Everyone,
In case you missed the social media posts on Wednesday, the entire town of Rossville was without power for about nine hours! David and Sally were still at RQ and helped a few intrepid customers shop in the dark :) The power has been restored and shopping with the lights on will return Thursday!
Can you believe it is already October? We are excited to begin our 10th Anniversary festivities next month, so be sure to keep a close watch on our newsletters and social media as we near our special date. Marcia and staff opened the doors on November 10th, 2007 as she "had enough fabric to open her own store". Hoping to just make enough to pay for her own hobby, the shop has grown to include all family members in their own niche; a fabulous long time staff; shipping to six of seven continents; and in store customers from all over the US as well as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Germany to name a few! An addition nearly doubling the size of the store after five years and a retreat center purchased three years ago round out the dream. We couldn't do any of it without our customers, so be prepared for some awesome prizes and surprises throughout our anniversary year. We can't wait to celebrate! On to the news...
October BOM Meeting
This Saturday, October 7th is our next BOM Meeting at RQ with doors opening at 9:00 a.m. for BOM Members. We will be passing out the final month of the Wrapped in Joy Row Quilt BOM with remaining yardage for backing available. October brings us month 1 of the Heritage Square BOM which features "Grunge" Basics by BasicGrey (featured above). We'll continue taking sign-ups and full kit orders for Heritage Square throughout the year!
The BOM Challenge for October is to bring a quilt (at least baby size) to donate to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. If you're participating in the All People Quilt UFO Resolution Challenge, then bring in your completed Project #7 for BOM Bucks. Remember our next BOMB Blast will be in November so earn those BOM Bucks now!
Flower Dance EBOM Participants: We will have open machine embroidery following the BOM meeting. There will not be a demonstration (techniques are all the same) but staff will be available to answer questions. Bring your completed blocks to share with your fellow embroidery enthusiasts and earn more BOM Bucks.

What's New at RQ
Blueberry Buckle by Marsha McCloskey for Clothworks is now available at RQ. This collection features the classic combination of blue and white (with a bit of taupe and brown for color). Elegant florals, leafy clusters, and polka dots are just a few of the available prints.
Rainboots + birdhouses + sunflowers = SPRING projects! Yellows, greens, and blues will help you prepare for a rainy spring day. Sunshine Garden by Cheryl Haynes for Benartex will have you planning your spring garden before the first snow (which could be soon in the Midwest). In addition to the prints featured above, be sure to view the coordinating panel which is featured in the Sunny Afternoon Kit. This collection has already proven popular (preorders will finish shipping out tomorrow) so don't delay in ordering yours.
Bro.ther Sis.ter by Ellen Crimi-Trent for Clothworks is our newest "baby" themed fabric at RQ. Prominently featured is the elephant and owl toss in blue, yellow, or pink. Coordinating chevrons and polka dots are also available. Separate "Brother" and "Sister" panels featuring cute sayings in blue or pink could be the center of a super adorable quilt to welcome a new addition to someone's life.
