News to Use from RQ July 20th
Posted by KJCB on July 20, 2017
Have you ever been working on a computer, hit the delete button, and then realized that's not what you meant to do? That's what happened to me this week when I was trying to delete the spam comments from the Blog section of the RQ website. Instead of deleting just the spam comments, I deleted ALL the comments. Oops. I really did read all the comments left on My Quilting Adventure Blog and am sad that I unintentionally deleted them. Please keep leaving us comments on the Blog (assuming I post some new quilts, of course) and I'll try not to delete them all again by mistake! On to the news...
2017 Illiana Shop Hop Recap

What's New at RQ
Christmas in July continues at RQ with new holiday fabrics continuing to find their way on to the store shelves. Newly arrived is Winter Twist by Jason Yenter for In the Beginning Fabric. The focus of this collection is the beautiful border stripe featuring red (or white) poinsettia clusters. The border stripe is used in the Winter Twist Quilt Kit (seen above) as well as smaller projects such as a tree skirt, table runner, and wall hanging. Winter Twist Quilt Book is available separately and even has a couple holiday recipes! Red and green coordinates help support the border stripe and large poinsettia focus print.
Ready for a "modern" Christmas this year?!? How fun are these winter holiday critters from Tula Pink. Holiday Homies is her first holiday collection and we are excited to have it available at RQ. The reindeer wears a monocle while the dog sports a "Rudolph" red nose; where else will you find fun prints like this? If you're a little more traditional, Tula PInk has included some great woodgrain prints and some cute tiny candy and reindeer coordinates for you. NOTE: Please be sure to read our description online. Some of the colors in the photos are not true to how the fabric actually looks. Any questions, just ask!
Snow Much Fun by Deb Strain for Moda Fabrics is a must have winter collection. Traditional holiday colors are accented with a pop of aqua and blue. Snowmen, snowflakes, cardinals, holly, words, and houndstooth are a few of the available prints. There are two kits available using the Snow Much Fun fabric: an appliqued snowman table runner or an ornament themed quilt made using jelly rolls. Don't forget to take a peek at the panel showcasing two large snowmen which would make lovely wall hangings on their own!
