We were happy to donate 17 quilts to the Rossville High School National Honor Society's blanket drive for local organizations last week. Many thanks to those who took the time to stop by and help us give to those in need in our community!
We've changed out the front display at RQ to focus on a new theme: Down on the Farm. A few of our newest farm and country home themed panels are gathered together as are kits, patterns, and precuts. From the juvenile farm prints of Stacy Iest Hsu's On the Farm to the more traditional Quilter's Barn Prints 2, we have a nice variety! Schedule an appointment for next week to come in the store and see what's new. On to the news....Read More

We're now two weeks into 2021 (Happy Birthday Gma!). How are your quilting/sewing resolutions thus far? Whether you decided to try learning a new technique or finishing up that one lingering UFO from 2011 (yes, that would be me) or getting organized for REAL this year - hopefully you're still full speed ahead.
If you were a fan of last year's Throwback Thursday Sale, take a look at our A Fabric Sale category on the RQ website where fabrics are always marked down from their regular price. We'll be adding new collections or pieces to the category on a regular basis as we start 2021. On to the news....Read More

Christmas is over and a new year has begun. What will it bring us? Not many would have guessed what last year brought! Have you printed the APQ UFO sheet to help you wrap up projects that have just been hanging around forever? Give that a try this year! How about one charity project per month? There are many places out there that can use your help with sewing or with small projects you make to cheer up a nursing home or assisted living facility. You could make one Christmas stocking per month for our December drive. We received a very nice thank you from the food pantry for all the donated filled stockings this year. They got all of them delivered to good homes. And for January, drop off a quilt for the Shelter Drive we are helping with! Time is running out for that one.
Whatever you do, make a difference! Even something small can make a difference in someone's life. On to the news....

Happy New Year's Eve (or Happy New Year to some of our more distant readers!) to all. It seems that most are ready to welcome 2021 in the hope that it will be better than 2020. Will part of your New Year's celebration be looking forward to your "quilty projects" for 2021? Will you finish some UFO projects? Maybe you have a PhD or two sitting around. (Project half Done). We will be closing at 2 p.m. on December 31st and will be closed on January 1st. Here at RQ, we will continue to offer shopping by appointment and our curbside pickup/dropoff in 2021 until further notice. One thing we are looking forward to in 2021 is a new, refurbished website on a brand new - and much faster! - platform. So keep shopping online for pickup or mail and watch for some changes coming in the new year.Read More

We're heading into that "last minute" project phase of holiday sewing! I am planning to embroider a few more tea towels and bake another couple sweets yet this evening :) There is still time to grab that last minute item next week from RQ. We will be open for shopping by appointment (or for Curbside Pickup of Gift Cards!) Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week. We will be closing at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.
Through the end of 2020, we'll be adding a few new collections to the End of November Sale on fabric yardage for the Throwback Thursday Sale each week! Follow the blue link above to see qualifying items. Please be sure to post your fulfillment instructions in the notes. Remember that our $50 free shipping only applies if the total order SHIPPED comes to $50.00 or more. On to the news....Read More
